I am visiting the National Portrait gallery tonight and wanted to dedicate today’s musings to the Hollywood starlets from the industry’s ‘Golden Age’ (1920-1960). There is something beautifully haunting about vintage photographs and I find the glamour and look of those in film during the ‘Golden Age’ utterly mesmerising! I felt it appropriate to put images of those stars I love most and have recently watched on the (small) screen; the incredibly talented Joan Crawford in Baby Jane; Gone with the Wind's Vivien Leigh, the most beautiful actress to hit the big screen ever in my opinion and the very handsome, Clark Gable. I threw in the directing genius that is Hitchcock for good measure after growing up with his movies on in the back ground (papa stylepoppy is a very big fan).
