Cruella devine!

I love a good tuxedo and Dolce & Gabbana have nailed it with this look *adds to work wear wish list*. The model somehow makes this look powerful and edgy, yet feminine. I am a big fan of the boyish trend, but the key is definitely to add a feminine touch, and in this case, the sequin blazer does this. My favourite thing about the outfit has to be the very on trend dalmation brogues.

Fairytales and Fantasies

Tim Walker is my favourite photographer of all time! His images are beautifully strange, haunting, fairytale-like and fantasy indulging, and yet they never enter 'kitsch' or 'gimmick' territory when they so easily could. Here is a selection of my favourite images by Walker and those that have had me mesmerised by the magnificent sets and the sheer creativity and imagination that goes into each picture; he really is like no other photographer. The image of the dresses in the trees has pride of place in the bedroom of the new flat and is my favourite image of his! Here is a great interview with Tim as shot by SHOWstudio in 2008, http://showstudio.com/project/in_fashion

Blog watch...

Tahti Syrjala is a red headed beauty, half Finish, half American and the creator of the amazing blog, TAHTISYRJALA.BLOGSPOT.COM. Tahti's blog is full of wonderful photography, her own style shots and make-up tutorials on how to create statement eyes. I so dig her style: beautifully structured, with quirky statement pieces and lots of muted colours. Take a look at her awesome blog and be inspired http://www.tahtisyrjala.com/page/2

Lets rock....

My day at Reading was filled with amazing bands (non of which were on the main stage suprisingly), eating lots of fast food, drinking tea to warm up and looking for the ideal person to snap for the blog. I found him...all it took was some cat trousers. Amazing. The highlight of the day was definitely catching Odd Future who are destined for great things! My style advice for Reading? Layer-up, unless you want to spend lots on £2 cups of tea.

Foxy lady...

Chloe Sevigny is such an incredibly photogenic person and rarely looks bad in a picture. I like to think she doesn't have a stylist, but I would probably be naive in thinking that. She definitely knows her key features (LEGS!) and wears clothes that show them off best. Chloe kills it, style wise, every time for me! Even when she rocked socks and sandals at a festival recently...only this foxy lady could make it work.

Queen of grunge

Major fan of Erin Wasson's style. It's no wonder she is a model turned stylist; she doesn't really follow trends, has fun with fashion and has really pulled off her own signature style, whilst creating fresh new looks everytime. Her style is tough, sexy, edgy and effortless, with elements of grunge and rock at its best. No wonder I love Alexander Wang's collections so much - Wasson is his muse and stylist. She has also dabbled in design and last year, created an amazing jewellery line called Low Luv for my-wardrobe.com. The collection featured the very on trend bone rings that we are seeing so much of recently, just highlighting Wasson's trend setting talents. I salute you Wasson!

Festival frenzy...

With Reading approaching this weekend, I have started to think about my festival outfit. My favourite look has to be Alexa who was snapped in this very on trend polka dot shirt earlier this week in NYC. I love how most of the looks are laid back and effortlessly cool. Whatever happens, I am definitely wearing a hat! No festival look is complete without one.

Lions & tigers & Miu Miu, Oh my...

I would definitely be clicking my heels in these dazzling beautys! A mix of two of my favourite things; GLITTER and CORAL. I might have to start a Miu Miu fund...

Balloon man...

I have taken so many pictures in my favourite seaside town, but this has to be my favourite image.

Blue suede shoes...

More seaside finds! As those who read the blog know, I LOVE Creepers and have been debating purchasing a pair for some time. I found these 'Creepers' at a boot sale for £2 and then grinned like a goon the whole way home. I have paired them with my new ASOS leather jacket with Leopard panelling.

Fur'bulous

So I packed my trunk and headed to my favourite seaside for a long weekend. During a morning stroll around some charity shops, I found this awesome faux fur coat, that has a little WWF approved label. I never thought I'd say this, but I can't wait for the winter!

Mind the gap...

I am certain I saw Lara Stone in a River Island look book about seven years ago, when gapped teeth weren’tin, but I guess I will never know. She is one of my favourite models (her and Aggy Deyn). Lara is strikingly beautiful, with an incredible figure. Its so refreshing to see a model who looks healthy and curvy and I really hope there will be more of them to inspire young girls who are exposed to lots of skeletors on a daily basis. They dont make many like Lara...she is definitely one of a kind. All hail lara for making gap teeth in Vogue (used to have a gap as a kid! sort of wish I still did).

An Ode to a Beautiful Tree...

Penelope Tree is definitely my favourite model from the 60’s. I have always thought those models who turn conventional beauty on its head are the most beautiful of all and Penelope was certainly one of the first models to do this. For me, she perfectly encapsulates the 60’s style and make-up of the era and I like to think Penelope changed the fashion world’s classification of "beauty" and "perfection". So today, I have gone all out with my eyeliner, as an ode to Miss Tree!

Moustache...

I have been looking at home bits for the new pad (loving Urban Outfitters for all their quirky home stuff at the moment) and have come across some great stuff. I recently bought an oven glove that is a mini version of the giant foam hands you have at basketball games call it tacky, I call it kitsch ha! Heres some of my favourites so far.
